Comparing three Eye Make-up Removers

Hello again :)

So, I think I haven't uploaded anything on my blog for a week or so, which is because I was applying for universities again and I really hope that I'll get in this time and get off this freaking waitlist :'( it really upsets me and makes me sad to hear from people that students at their university got into the class I'm trying to get in and some students quit after a couple of weeks saying, that it's not what they want to do. I mean, people, do an internship and don't just choose something blindfolded and think it'll work out somehow. Sorry, I'm just really mad and frustrated about this whole "getting into a university in Germany" stuff :/
Before I start on my review you have to know, that I'm totally obsessed with all of those three brands. I love all the lotions by Nivea, the make-up stuff by Maybelline, and the micelles cleansing water and the BB Cream for oily skin by Garnier. I love all of those three brands and I don't want to trash any of them. They all have their thing that they're good at.
These are my three removers. The one by Maybelline is almost
empty as well as the one by Garnier, I used the one by Garnier for
only about two to three weeks and the one by Maybelline for
over a month, up to two months..
Let's get started on comparing three products. Today it's going to be three waterproof Make-up removers. One is by Nivea, one by Maybelline and one by Garnier, which I already reviewed in my last post. Make sure to check this one out before reading this :) All three removers contain 125ml and are the same price, which is 2,95€. I just bought the one by Nivea today and I already tried it out. My first impression is not so good. It has a different texture than the others. It's way more creamy and kind of like a lotion, why I thought it would be great and really nourish my eye area, but it doesn't. Usually all the Nivea products leave a really nice finish and sink into my skin really quickly, but this one doesn't. My skin feels sticky and I just feel that it's not sinking in anywhere. From all of the three removers, this one is the worst, when it comes to removing. I always use a cotton ball, let the remover sink in for a while, put it onto my eye area, let it sit and gently remove everything. Well, did not work with the one by Nivea. Usually one cotton ball per eye is enough. With this one I needed two, which is not very dramatic. I mean, those cotton things are not expensive. But especially my Mascara wouldn't come off, even after I put the remover on for the second time. I still have a little bit of Mascara stuck right underneath my lower lash line. My eyes still feel kind of irritated after using it. I used it about an hour ago. Once I was done and I opened my eyes my vision was kind of blurry, which indicates that I might have gotten some of the product into my eye. The same thing happened to me with the remover by Garnier. I need to say one last thing about the remover by Nivea. My lashes are not sensitive at all and I take really good care of them. I almost never have lashes fall out, especially not while removing my make-up. It happened with the Nivea remover though. I'm not someone *itching about loosing a lash or something, but since it almost never happens to me I was shocked to find several lashes in my cotton ball after removing my mascara and eye shadow.. So, I don't like the remover by Nivea at all. It doesn't remove my make-up the way I want it to, it leaves a sticky thing onto my eye area and it hurts my eyes and makes my lashes fall out.
Now let's get going with the one by Maybelline. It has that same two colored thing as the one by Garnier going on, which means I need to shake it before. You can't really see on the picture though. I thought "why should I buy two new make-up removers. I just need to test the one by Nivea"... if only I would've known before that I'll dislike this product... I would've purchased the one by Maybelline as well. So, I put that remover onto my cotton ball, put it onto my eye area and let it sit for a while. This remover almost takes off all of my make up in one swipe. It leaves a slightly oily finish on my eyelid, which doesn't really bother me, since I usually just chill in my room/the living room, or go to bed straight after taking of my make-up. So, yeah, let my eyelids be as shiny and oily as they want to be. I just keep on telling myself that it must have some nourishing effect or so :D maybe it does, maybe it doesn't.. I never noticed any change. Well, I don't even pay this much attention to my eyelids. Actually, I don't really have anything to rant about this product. It doesn't use up too fast, it doesn't make my eyes hurt, it leaves a good finish (which always depends on how you prefer the finish to be) and most important: it removes all of my make-up easily.
I'll just sum up what I said about the remover by Garnier very quickly. It's too fluid, it gets everywhere into my eye and really makes my eye hurt, it uses up way too fast, there always comes out too much out of the bottle, but it has a non-oily finish, which makes this remover great for a quick make-up change, and it removes all of my make-up.
So, as I already said, I clearly don't want to trash any of these brands since I enjoy using different products from all of them, but their removers just didn't work out for me. I actually think, that the eye make-up remover by Nivea could do much better, if I would use it for my face instead of my eyes.
Well, I guess that's it for today. I'll try to upload more recent, which will definitely possible, since a lot of the products I bought in January were a huge disappointment. I still have some products I love at home, so I'll try to find a good balance between ranting and praising products ;)

Have a great weekend everyone :)
